    Cybersecurity Recruitment Agency in India

WSNE Consulting helps employers hire cybersecurity and information-security professionals across SOC, GRC, cloud security, application security, IAM and security leadership roles in India.

A security title or certification alone does not describe the work a person can do. WSNE Consulting supports cybersecurity recruitment discussions across security operations, engineering, governance and leadership. Give the search team the operating context, required tools and assessment criteria for the role.

    A brief built
    around the work.

Security hiring should distinguish monitoring and triage, incident response, engineering, offensive testing, governance and leadership responsibilities. Define the systems, business context and level of ownership. The hiring team should agree the practical assessment and any reference checks rather than relying on a general cybersecurity skills list.

    01

    Security operations and incident response

Specify the monitoring stack, alert-triage responsibilities, incident-handling experience and escalation expectations. Explain shifts and on-call requirements. Assess a candidate’s own contribution to relevant investigations without requesting confidential details from their previous employer.

    02

    Security engineering and application security

Define the cloud or infrastructure environment, security tooling, software-delivery workflow and remediation ownership. For application security or testing roles, agree an authorised practical assessment and the boundaries of any demonstration. Certifications can support evidence but do not replace it.

    03

    GRC, consulting and security leadership

Describe governance responsibilities, control frameworks relevant to your business, stakeholder expectations and deliverables. For consulting or leadership roles, assess communication, project ownership and decision-making alongside technical or domain experience. Confirm any role-specific qualification requirements.

    Screen for what matters

    Shared criteria.
    Better conversations.

Agree the assessment owner, pass criteria and verification scope with your hiring team. A relevant shortlist starts with a shared definition of fit.

    Our screening approach
    • 01

Hands-on experience with the tools and responsibilities in the brief.

    • 02

An agreed practical assessment or scenario with clear evaluation criteria.

    • 03

Relevant certifications verified where the role requires them.

    • 04

Client communication, reporting and consulting responsibilities when applicable.

    • 05

Shift, location, compensation, availability and permitted verification scope.

    From requirement to joining

    Know the next step.
    At every step.

Agree the assessment owner and evaluation criteria before reviewing profiles. Ask for screening notes that distinguish demonstrated skills, candidate statements and unresolved gaps. For niche roles, discuss compensation and notice-period flexibility alongside sourcing feasibility rather than assuming a fixed national salary benchmark.

    2. 02

Hiring for consulting teams and internal security functions

Consulting roles may require client-facing communication, project travel or a changing delivery environment. Internal roles may emphasise ownership of a particular platform or operating model. State these differences in the brief. WSNE supports hiring discussions across India; confirm the actual city, remote policy and working hours for every requirement.

    Employer hiring toolkit

    Cybersecurity hiring.
    Make the evidence specific.

Define the security work to be performed before choosing a job title. NIST’s NICE Framework is a useful reference for describing tasks, knowledge and skills; it is not a WSNE accreditation or an assessment guarantee.

The examples below help you scope a new search. They are illustrative assessment prompts, not claims about completed projects or a promise that every module, tool or check is included. Confirm feasibility and scope with the WSNE recruitment team.

    SOC and incident response

    Define in the brief

Triage, investigation, escalation and authorised response; required SIEM/EDR tooling.

    Evidence for your assessment panel

Use a synthetic alert or incident scenario to discuss hypotheses, evidence, prioritisation and escalation.

    Cloud and application security

    Define in the brief

The cloud platform, development environment, control responsibilities and remediation ownership.

    Evidence for your assessment panel

Use a hypothetical architecture or code-review discussion approved by your technical panel.

    GRC and security consulting

    Define in the brief

Control assessment, evidence review, reporting and stakeholder responsibilities.

    Evidence for your assessment panel

Ask how the candidate would assess a sample control, identify an evidence gap and explain it to a business owner.

    Security leadership

    Define in the brief

Decision authority, team remit, reporting line and business-risk ownership.

    Evidence for your assessment panel

Discuss a hypothetical prioritisation decision and the evidence needed to explain the trade-off to leadership.

A shortlist note your team can assess

    1. Requirement: essential skill and the work it supports.
    2. Evidence: relevant candidate example and their own contribution.
    3. Status: candidate-stated, recruiter-discussed, panel-assessed or externally verified.
    4. Open questions: unresolved gaps, assessment owner and next action.
    5. Practical fit: work city, hours, salary expectations and notice period.

    Fees & terms
Can an overseas employer use WSNE for cybersecurity hiring in India?

Overseas employers can discuss recruitment for an India-based security team with WSNE. State the employing entity, employee work location, working hours, data-access restrictions and assessment owner. Recruitment does not automatically include employer-of-record, payroll, immigration, legal advice or operating a SOC; any additional delivery arrangement must be confirmed separately.

What evidence should accompany a cybersecurity shortlist?

Agree a record of the candidate’s relevant responsibilities, tools, scenario reasoning, location, compensation and availability. Distinguish recruiter screening, candidate statements and results validated by your security interviewer. Agree reference and certification checks with consent; do not request confidential incident logs or access to a previous employer’s systems.

How should we assess cybersecurity candidates?

Agree a role-specific practical assessment with your security or technical owner. Review the candidate’s own experience, tools, reasoning and communication, and verify qualifications where required. A CV or certificate is one piece of evidence rather than a complete suitability decision.

Can WSNE discuss consulting-firm cybersecurity requirements?

Yes. Share the technical scope, client-facing responsibilities, location, seniority and hiring volume. WSNE has reported cybersecurity hiring outcomes across consulting firms; discuss references and the relevance of that experience to your particular mandate.

What should we include in our hiring brief?

Share the role, number of openings, essential skills, experience, salary budget, work location, work model and target joining date. Include interview stages, assessment owners and feedback availability. For shift-based hiring, add working hours and transport arrangements.

How are shortlist delivery and completed hiring different?

A shortlist gives your team screened profiles to review. A hire follows assessment, selection, offer acceptance and joining. Agree these milestones separately, because interview capacity, notice periods and candidate decisions affect delivery.

How are fees and replacement conditions agreed?

Request a written proposal setting out the service scope, fee basis, invoice trigger, payment terms, assessment responsibilities, replacement eligibility and exclusions. The agreement for your requirement governs the terms; a generic website statement does not replace it.
