GCC Engineering Team Setup – Bangalore
US Fortune 500 Technology Company (Confidential)
The Challenge
A US-based Fortune 500 tech company was establishing its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bangalore and needed to hire 80 engineers (full-stack, cloud, DevOps, data engineering) within 90 days. They had no employer brand in India, no local HR team, and were competing against established GCCs from Google, Microsoft, and Amazon for the same talent pool in Whitefield and Electronic City.
Our Solution
WSNE acted as the client's extended TA arm for the entire GCC launch. We created an employer branding microsite, ran recruitment marketing campaigns on LinkedIn and Naukri targeting passive candidates, and set up a dedicated 6-recruiter pod. Our technical assessment team pre-screened candidates on system design, cloud architecture (AWS/GCP), and coding challenges. We managed the full lifecycle: sourcing → screening → technical assessment → offer negotiation → onboarding coordination.
Results & Impact
- 80 of 80 positions filled in 78 days.
- Built 5 engineering pods: Full-Stack (25), Cloud/DevOps (18), Data Engineering (15), QA Automation (12), and Security (10).
- 88% offer acceptance rate despite competing with FAANG GCCs.
- Average CTC: ₹18–32 LPA.
- Client's Bangalore GCC became operational 2 weeks ahead of the board-mandated deadline.
"WSNE didn't just recruit for us—they helped us build our India identity. Their GCC expertise and Bangalore market knowledge were instrumental in getting us operational ahead of schedule."
